The Inner Voyage to the Cosmos Within Discovering the Universe Spiritually

Astronomers use telescopes to gaze into space.  And we have tools for discovering the universe spiritually.   With the right method, we can explore the inner universe of our spirit.  This is the inner voyage to the cosmos of our soul.  Some believe we can even connect with the very fabric of the universe itself.

Have you ever felt a deep longing to understand the universe beyond what science can explain?  Have you ever sought to explore the depths of your inner cosmos?  If so, then you are ready to take the spiritual cosmic journey.  Discovering the universe spiritually within is the next step in your development.

Spiritual Journey to the Cosmos Within

Our consciousness is a measurable energy.  We can see the electrical activity of consciousness with an electroencephalography (EEG).  It is a wavelength of energy.  Consciousness is a platform on which our awareness resides.

Consciousness does not have an on-and-off switch.  Rather, consciousness exists on a plane.  (1) The more conscious you are, the more aware you are.  As long as your body is alive, it will have some level of consciousness.

Even people in a coma have a faint level of consciousness.  When you are under the influence of general anesthesia, you are in a temporary coma.  You are still alive and still have consciousness but have no awareness of the physical body.

Because consciousness is a form of energy, it cannot be destroyed, but it can change into other forms.  Water, for example, can exist in different states as a liquid, solid (ice), or gas (steam).   This aligns with the ancient idea of panpsychism.  It’s the view that all things have a mind or a mind-like quality.  The word comes from the Italian philosopher Francesco Patrizi in the sixteenth century.  It is made from two Greek words: pan (all) and psyche (soul or mind).

When the body dies, consciousness and awareness do not stop.  They are, however, disconnected from the body.  Just because they are disconnected doesn’t mean consciousness stops.  The spiritual journey to the cosmos continues.  Remember, consciousness is a form of energy.  Energy cannot be destroyed.

Discovering the Universe Spiritually

You are not consciousness; rather, you are observing its content.  You are not the awareness, which is the quality of perception, your ability to observe.  You are the Observer, which some call spirit or soul.

“We are the cosmos made conscious, and life is the means by which the universe understands itself.” ― Brian Cox

So, who is observing our consciousness and awareness?  We call this aspect the spirit or soul.  Taking a spiritual journey to the cosmos within is spiritual exploration.  The inner voyage to the cosmos is about exploring who we are.  Some people refer to this as the Great Experiment.

As we delve into the cosmos within, we may begin to experience a profound sense of oneness with all of creation.  We may see that the boundaries between ourselves and the universe are not as rigid as we once thought.  It is a realization that we are all interconnected in ways that we never could have imagined.  This is the result of what people call awakening.

The process of awakening is the expansion of the bandwidth of awareness.  The more aware you are, the more you will exhibit five main characteristics.

Self-awareness is one of the key characteristics of someone who has awakened.  They are in tune with their thoughts, emotions, and actions.  They are always striving to improve themselves.  These individuals are spiritual warriors.  They are not afraid to face their fears and insecurities.  And they are always seeking ways to become the best version of themselves.

Empathy is a trait of those who are awakened.   When you have empathy, you see things from a different perspective.  You understand the emotions and experiences of others.  Empathy empowers compassionate and caring behaviors.  There is a need to help others in any way they can.  Empathy fuels us to form deep and meaningful connections.

Mindfulness is a quality of people who are present and living in the moment.  They are fully engaged in whatever they are doing.  Being mindful helps them to handle stressful situations.  They can quiet their minds instead of being consumed by negative emotions.

Authenticity is another key characteristic of someone who has awakened.  They are true to themselves and others and do not put on a facade to please others.  They know the value of being vulnerable and showing their true selves.  Authenticity allows them to form genuine connections with others and live a life true to their values and beliefs.

Oneness and connection to the universe.   Those who have awakened demonstrate a deep sense of spirituality.  They understand that we are all interconnected and that everything in the universe is connected in some way.  They have a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives and are in tune with the energies of the universe.

In conclusion, someone who has awakened possesses a unique set of characteristics that set them apart.  They are self-aware, empathetic, mindful, authentic, and connected to the universe.  These individuals are truly special, and their presence can be truly inspiring.  Who knows, maybe you already possess some of these characteristics and are on the path to awakening yourself.  Awakening is discovering the universe spiritually.

Inner Voyage To The Cosmos of The Spirit and Soul

spiritual cosmic journey

You are either born with the characteristics of someone aware, or you develop them.  Even those born with these traits can increase their awareness.

So, how does one begin this spiritual journey to the cosmos within?  The first step is to follow the call to explore the unknown reaches of your soul.  Listen to your intuitive mind.  Be open to discovering the infinite possibilities that lie within.  Using inner work tools like the Enneagram and the Repetitive Question process reveals the programming of your mind.

This is a quest of self-discovery and exploration that leads to spiritual growth.  Just as we look outward to learn about the universe, we look inward to gain a better understanding of ourselves.

When we embark on this inner voyage, we are confronted with our fears, insecurities, and limitations.  Just like the vast expanse of the universe, our inner cosmos is filled with mystery and complexity.  But by delving deep into our innermost thoughts and emotions, we can begin to unravel the secrets of our being.

Embarking on The Spiritual Cosmic Journey

“We are the eyes of the cosmos.  So, in a way, when you look deeply into somebody’s eyes, you are looking deeply into yourself.  And the other person is looking deeply into the same self, which is as many-eyed as the mask of Vishnu is many—faced.  It is looking out everywhere, one energy playing myriads of different parts.” — Alan Watts

Everyone has the innate ability to explore altered or higher states.  We call this type of investigation spiritual exploration.  If we use the proper method, we can find the gifts in our DNA.  It doesn’t require religious beliefs, only the ability to follow a process.

When born, we need the primary three states of consciousness.  Waking, dreaming, and sleep states give us the tools we need to acclimate our bodies to this reality.   Most of us need to use these processes to open the doors of awareness to higher states of consciousness.

As adolescents, most could not handle the extra bandwidth from these other states.  After all, as children, we are orienting ourselves to our human container.  However, we cannot know the depth of experience unless we use these other doors of consciousness.  Unfortunately, some never go beyond the default set of three rooms.  Many people are oblivious to the fundamental nature of our awareness.

When we mature, we are ready to answer the call to take the spiritual cosmic journey.  By using inner work tools and methods, we can connect with our inner cosmos and tap into the limitless potential that lies within us.  When we explore our inner landscape, we can uncover hidden truths and heal wounds.  The result is peace and harmony within us.

The inner voyage to the cosmos within is not always easy, but the rewards are immeasurable.  By taking this journey, we can gain a deeper understanding of our true nature and unlock the power that lies dormant within us.  So next time you gaze up at the stars, remember we are on a spiritual journey to the cosmos within.

Cosmic Therapy and Self-Healing

Most of the methods for exploring the mind are therapeutic.  The act of venturing into our consciousness is exhilarating and soothing simultaneously.  The subconscious contains the programming of our beliefs and values.  Here is where our memory stores past experiences, including traumas and emotional burdens.

One of the key principles of cosmic therapy is the realization of oneness.  It is experiencing how everything in the universe is interconnected.  We are all a part of the consciousness and energy of the universe.  We can learn to harness the energy of the cosmos through various tools.  Many methods use mantras to tap into the power of cosmic therapy and self-healing.

Self-healing is a crucial component of maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  By adding self-healing methods into our daily routine, you repair and prepare yourself.  You nurture our mind, body, and soul and promote healing from within.  Here are some examples:

Energy healing practices work on the premise that we all have an energetic body.  This energy can be balanced and restored through the manipulation of energy flow.  There are many energy-based tools.  Mantras, sutras, and singing bowls are effective.  You can feel the difference immediately.  Tai Chi, Qigong, and Silat are powerful energy healing practices.  We highly recommend working with a trained practitioner to learn these methods.

Reiki healing is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan.  It is a cosmic therapy and self-healing process promoting health.  This method works by channeling energy through the hands.  Reiki practitioners use touchless energy projection techniques to rebalance energy flow.  It’s used to release negative energy, promote healing, and restore balance to the body and mind.

Pejut is an Indonesian energy healing art that preceded Reiki and acupressure techniques.  It uses deep tissue massage along with energy projection techniques to affect the body.  It does not use the manipulation methods used in chiropractic medicine.  Rather, it applies direct pressure to loosen blockages, align joints, and restore balance.

Meditation is a key component of cosmic therapy and self-healing.  It quiets the mind and connects us with our inner selves.  Meditation aligns us with the energy of the universe.  Practicing meditation regularly has many health benefits.  It reduces stress and improves mental clarity and the mind-body connection.   It is the primary method for discovering the universe spiritually.

Mindfulness Meditation is one of the most popular self-healing practices.  This ancient technique helps us to be present.  It involves observing your thoughts and emotions without judgment.  By practicing mindfulness meditation, you cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness.  Adding a few minutes of mindfulness into your day will have an immediate impact on your mindset.

The practice of Yoga Asana is another healing practice.  It combines physical movement with breathwork and meditation.  By practicing yoga regularly, you can improve your flexibility, strength, and balance.  At the same time, it also reduces stress and promotes relaxation.  Yoga has been shown to have a positive effect on the mind, body, and spirit, making it an essential tool for self-healing.

Healing foods and nutrition are often overlooked in the development of a healthcare plan.  But the food you eat plays a crucial role in our health and well-being.  Adding healing foods to your diet supports the healing process.

Foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals boost your immune system.  They reduce inflammation and promote wellness.  So, prioritize your diet with whole, nutrient-dense foods.  Avoid fast food and processed sugary snacks.  A healthy diet is the most important element of a healthy lifestyle.  This is a proactive approach to self-healing through nutrition.

Self-care is a blanket term that covers a variety of cosmic therapy and self-healing tools.  These are often simple strategies to manage stress.  For example, taking time for yourself to rest, relax, and recharge is essential for maintaining a healthy balance.  It prevents burnout.  Self-care is not selfish.  It involves finding activities that rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul.

These methods offer a way to tap into the healing energy of the universe.  It doesn’t matter whether you’re dealing with physical pain, emotional trauma, or seeking inner peace.  These tools work.  Incorporating these practices into your spiritual cosmic journey makes you more resilient.

Cosmic therapy and self-healing of self-care include music sound therapy and aromatherapy.  You should explore these methods of self-healing to find what works for you.  These simple things add to the holistic approach to wellness.
