Are you a Sorcerer and just don’t know it?
Could You Be a Sorcerer?
A Sorcerer is someone who routinely connects with the source of Being. Connecting with “source” is healthy and nourishing for the mind, body, and soul. It’s an important part of our overall health and wellness.
There are a number of ways you could learn to be a sorcerer. For instance, a Sorcerer is someone who mediates and reaches a state of pure awareness. Meditation is the doorway to the freedom of thought.
Sages of all kinds from Joseph Campbell, Dr. Wayne Dyer and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi promote reaching this state of restful-alternes. Meditation is thus sorcery, the act of connecting to the source of our Being. Could you be a sorcerer too? Maybe you already are?
Why Demonize Connecting with Source?
We automatically associate the term Sorcerer with evil. The dominant cultural narrative is responsible for this association. It’s a way of keeping you away from the “source.” This keeps you from opening important doorways of awareness. It demonizes the term sorcerer to make it socially unacceptable. It associates the term with someone who uses magic with evil intent.
One of these doorways leads to your spiritual gifts and the spirit world. Another the doorway to higher states of consciousness. Source is the doorway to freedom of thought. Because of this, the dominant cultural narrative don’t want you to discover this “source” or these doorways. It does not want you to be free.
There are four dominant world religious institutions in control of the cultural narrative. They boast a membership which makes up half of the population of the world. These are Abrahamic religions; the Western Organized Religions of Semitic origin, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These religions are the rebranding of the mystery religions of Assyrian, Egyptian, Babylonian, and Persian. The concept of the evil sorcerer comes from the Assyrian mythology.
Western organized religion demonize people or processes that threaten their customer base and undermine their control. This is an old but effective tactic. They protect their customer base to the point of murder and genocide.
Learn to be a Sorcerer like Dr. Wayne Dyer
Our intention is very much a part of this process. Ceremonies are one way to make a connection with “source”. A ceremony is a type of moving meditation that embodies the emotional and symbolic links of the desired outcome. The aim of your practice could simply be to channel the flow of energy in the body or to heal. Seated meditation is another way to connect with pure consciousness, which is our source. Many people practice Japa or Transcendental Meditation, which enables them to connect with the source of being on a regular basis.
There are many kinds of moving meditation. If you practice Tai Chi or Qigong, did you know you are a Sorcerer too? The Shamanic journey is an ancient practice that uses sound and creative visualization to alter awareness and connect with source. When you learn to dance, you learn a to be a sorcerer. Dance is one of the main ways many ancient cultures promote the connection with “source.” The martial art Silat is a form of moving meditation, a powerful way to connect with source.
If you are amusician,n you can probably relate to the creative magical moments. This can happen when writing a new song, it just comes out of the ether. Or, when playing with others when everyone melds into one seamless flow? This is how we connect naturally with “source”. Hence, this is what makes musicians Sorcerers. Could you be a Sorcerer and not know it?
Wayne W. Dyer wants everyone to learn to be a Sorcerer. He promotes the process of actively making a connection with “source” in his book, “The Power of Intention.” Similarly, in his book “Getting in the Gap: Making Conscious Contact with God Through Meditation” (Book with CD) Mr. Dyer refers to himself a Sorcerer; a person actively engaging with Source.
Intent is a force that exists in the universe. When sorcerers (those who live of the Source) beckon intent, it comes to them and sets up the path for attainment, which means that sorcerers always accomplish what they set out to do.
You create your thoughts. Your thoughts create your intentions.
Your intentions create your reality.
In the universe, there is an unmeasurable, indescribable force which sorcerers call intent, and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.
― Wayne Dyer
